Hi ! I'm Loïc from Toulouse, France. I enjoy creating drawings from code, and I've been using Python, vsketch and vpype to design plottable generative systems.

 

Starting with a few simple rules, I explore the parameters space, find the balance between (pseudo)randomness and composition, occasionally saving some of the outputs along the way. Once i'm done playing with an idea, i'll set up my Axidraw and watch it as it draws a few of the selected outputs.

 

Each plot is unique, an expression of the state of the code that generated it, the particuliar seed it used to simulate randomness, and the imperfections that inevitably occur when digital becomes physical.
